Shipping Customization

Shipping customization lets you control how shipping methods appear at checkout. You can rename methods for clarity, reorder them to prioritize preferred options, or hide methods that shouldn’t be available under certain conditions.

Change the display name of a shipping method at checkout. The underlying rate remains the same — only the label the customer sees changes.

Example: Rename “Standard Shipping” to “Free Shipping” when the customer’s cart qualifies.

Change the sort order of shipping methods. Move preferred methods to the top of the list so customers see them first.

Example: Show “Express Shipping” first for VIP customers.

Remove a shipping method from checkout entirely. The method won’t appear as an option for the customer.

Example: Hide “Express Shipping” for heavy orders over 10kg.

Select which shipping method to target using name matching:

  1. Open PowerX from your Shopify admin.
  2. Click Create Campaign.
  3. Select Shipping Customization (Delivery Customization) as the function type.
  4. Name your campaign (e.g., “Hide Express for Heavy Orders”).

Select one of:

  • Rename — enter the new display name.
  • Reorder — set the sort position.
  • Hide — no additional configuration needed.

Use name matching to target the shipping method:

  • Enter the shipping method name or keyword.
  • Choose the match type (exact, contains, starts with, etc.).

Add cart qualifiers or customer qualifiers to control when this customization activates:

  • Cart subtotal, quantity, or weight
  • Cart has/doesn’t have specific items
  • Customer tags, email, or login status
  • Market or language

Review and toggle to Active.

  • Rule: Hide

  • Rule: Rename
  • Method: Name matches “Standard Shipping”
  • Cart qualifier: Subtotal >= $75

Shipping method still showing after hiding?

  • Verify the campaign is Active.
  • Check that the method name in your rule exactly matches the shipping rate name in Shopify.
  • Ensure the cart/customer conditions are being met.

Renamed method showing old name?

  • Check the name matching — use “contains” for partial matches if the exact name doesn’t work.
  • Verify there isn’t another campaign with conflicting rules.
